Abstract

This research aims to design an Android-based initial reading ability assessment application for 1st-grade Elementary School students and to determine the feasibility of designing an Android-based initial reading ability assessment application for 1st-grade Elementary School students. This research uses the R&D method with the ADDIE model which has five phases, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. However, this research was only carried out until the development stage and the feasibility test. The results of the feasibility test research from the four validators obtained an average score of 4.5 and agreement between assessors was 83% and was included in the very feasible category. Therefore, it can be stated that the Android-based initial reading ability assessment application design for 1st-grade Elementary School Students is suitable for further development into an application.
