The journal is published biannually in June and December and focuses on disseminating high-quality research by students and scholars in the field of elementary education.</p><p>Since its establishment, <strong>Ibtida'i</strong> has aimed to investigate the dynamics of learning and teaching in elementary schools, including innovative strategies, curriculum development, and pedagogical approaches. The journal seeks to contribute to scholarly discussions in Indonesian primary education and welcomes a broad range of topics, including teaching practices, educational policy implementation, literacy and numeracy development, high order thinking skills and 21-st Century Skills, inclusive education, and Islamic primary education. Taheri Akbar[email protected]Aldora Pratama[email protected]<p>Kemampuan literasi baca-tulis adalah keterampilan yang harus dikuasai peserta didik sejak dini, karena kemampuan literasi baca-tulis yang baik membantu peserta didik untuk memahami informasi yang diperoleh dari berbagai sumber, serta memungkinkan peserta didik untuk berkomunikasi secara efektif. Oleh karena itu ada beberapa yang menjadi faktor rendahnya literasi baca tulis pada siswa ada yang berasal dari dalam diri siswa itu sendiri dan dari luar diri siswa seperti dari lingkungan sosial dan nonsosialnya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah faktor penyebab dari rendahnya kemampuan literasi baca tulis siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apa saja faktor penyebab rendahnya kemampuan literasi baca-tulis siswa kelas III SD Negeri 98 Palembang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi baca tulis siswa kelas III sudah baik tetapi masih untuk ditingkatkan, sebab terdapat beberapa siswa yang rendah literasi baca tulisnya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh dua faktor penyebab rendahnya kemampuan Literasi Baca Tulis siswa disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu: faktor internal: rendahnya minat membaca siswa dan rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa. However, the materials currently used are generally national in scope and do not optimally incorporate local wisdom, resulting in less meaningful learning experiences. This study aims to develop thematic teaching materials based on the local wisdom of the Banten community and to examine their validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The subjects of this study were 75 fifth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, observations, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the developed teaching materials significantly improved in quality, with validation scores increasing from 61% to 93%, indicating high validity. In addition, the materials were considered practical and effective in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. However, classroom practices are still dominated by classical teaching styles and conventional assessments, which are less effective in improving students’ learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effect of teaching styles and authentic assessment on students’ Social Studies learning outcomes. The study employed a quantitative approach using a 2×2 factorial design. This study included 100 sixth-grade students from public elementary schools located in Banjarsari District, Lebak Regency as the research participants. The results indicate that teaching style has a significant effect on learning outcomes; there is an interaction between teaching style and assessment method; and the combination of an interactional teaching style and authentic assessment produces the highest learning outcomes. This study employed a quantitative, quasi-experimental design. The participant consisted of fifth-grade students from public elementary schools in Kalanganyar District, selected through purposive sampling. The results indicate that HOTS-based learning has a positive and significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes, learning styles also have a significant effect, and there is an interaction between HOTS-based learning and learning styles on students’ learning outcomes. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa, di mana hanya 7 dari 23 siswa (30%) mencapai Kriteria Ketercapaian Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) dengan nilai minimal 75. Hasil angket analisis kebutuhan juga menunjukkan 81% siswa menyatakan perlu adanya media pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan interaktif. Metode yang digunakan adalah <em>Research and Development</em> (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari tahap <em>Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation</em>. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media memperoleh rata-rata persentase validitas sebesar 88,5% dengan kategori sangat valid. Uji kepraktisan menghasilkan rata-rata 94% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Sedangkan uji keefektifan menunjukkan rata-rata sebesar 83,75% dengan kategori sangat efektif dan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar diperoleh rata-rata skor N-gain sebesar 0,595 yang termasuk kategori sedang. Penelitian menggunakan metode <em>Systematic Literature Review</em> dengan mengacu pada alur <em>Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses</em>. Proses identifikasi dilakukan melalui penelusuran basis data ilmiah pada rentang tahun 2014–2025, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan tahap <em>screening, eligibility</em>, dan <em>quality assessment</em> hingga diperoleh sepuluh artikel penelitian empiris yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang menekankan investigasi kontekstual, refleksi metakognitif, serta asesmen autentik mampu meningkatkan indikator berpikir kritis siswa, terutama pada aspek analisis, evaluasi, inferensi, dan argumentasi ilmiah. Pembahasan menegaskan bahwa integrasi paradigma <em>deep learning</em> memperdalam pemahaman konseptual siswa dan meningkatkan kemampuan transfer pengetahuan dalam memecahkan permasalahan lingkungan nyata. Keberhasilan implementasi dipengaruhi oleh kesiapan pedagogis guru, ketersediaan sumber belajar kontekstual, serta dukungan institusional sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi literatur (<em>library research</em>). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari berbagai sumber, termasuk buku, jurnal, dan temuan penelitian yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pengajaran tematik berbasis lingkungan berperan penting dalam mengembangkan kepedulian lingkungan pada siswa. Melalui pengajaran yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan sekitar, siswa dapat memahami materi secara lebih kontekstual dan mengembangkan pemahaman mereka tentang kebersihan, kelestarian, dan tanggung jawab dalam kaitannya dengan lingkungan.
