The research aim of this article is to clarify the importance of developing critical thinking, how Islamic Religious Education (PAI) benefits it, and how it relates to Islamic education in the era of Society 5.0, especially in elementary schools. The learning idea known as Bloom's Taxonomy is a paradigm of critical thinking used. Research methodology blends content analysis techniques with library research. Journals and publications of Islamic education as well as the application of Bloom's taxonomy to the formation of critical thinking are used as data sources. To obtain data, relevant references are collected manually and digitally. Once data is collected, the data is then summarized, displayed, and aggregated to create fresh, modern ideas. The findings highlighted the need to expand PAI learning to include cognitive, emotional, and psychomotor components and integrate them into the primary school curriculum. This is becoming increasingly important as the demand for education in the social era 5.0 requires educational institutions, especially primary schools, to be able to produce technologically skilled graduates.
