Adam as merupakan nabi sekaligus manusia pertama yang Allah ciptakan di muka bumi ini. Sebelum Adam as diciptakan, Allah SWT sudah mengisyaratkan kepada para malaikat bahwasanya Ia akan menjadikan Adam as Khalifah di muka bumi ini. Hal itu yang membuat para malaikat saling bertanya-tanya, terutama Iblis yang merupakan salah satu penduduk langit yang mendengar firman Allah tersebut. Telah terciptanya Adam as tidaklah membuat Iblis senang, melainkan ia sangat membenci hingga akhirnya ia diusir oleh Allah dari surga dan mengancam akan menggoda Adam beserta anak cucunya. Artikel ini berisikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang dapat diambil dalam kisah tentang Adam as dan Iblis, baik dari saat pertama kali Adam as diciptakan hingga saat ia diturunkan ke muka bumi, yang mana semua kejadian Adam as tersebut tidak luput dari pantauan Iblis.
