Focus and Scope

The journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality research articles that explore the theoretical foundations, practical applications, and emerging issues in the field of Arabic Language Education (Tarbiah Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyyah), Arabic Linguistics, and Arabic Literature. It aims to serve as a comprehensive platform for scholars, academics, and practitioners to share their empirical and critical findings that contribute to the development of Arabic language studies in the global context, particularly within Islamic educational institutions.

The scope of the journal encompasses a wide array of topics, including but not limited to:

  1. Arabic Language Pedagogy and Didactics: Innovative methods, learning models, and strategies for teaching Arabic to speakers of other languages (TASSOL).
  2. Arabic Language Curriculum: Research on the development, implementation (including the Emancipated Curriculum), and evaluation of Arabic language curricula across various educational levels, from early childhood Islamic institution to Islamic university level.
  3. Arabic Learning Media and Technology: The development, integration, and impact analysis of instructional media, digital tools, and technology in Arabic language learning.
  4. Arabic Language Skills (Maharah Arba'ah): Studies concerning the acquisition, development, and assessment of the four language skills: listening (Istima'), speaking (Kalam), reading (Qira'ah), and writing (Kitabah).
  5. Arabic Linguistics and Applied Linguistics: Analysis of Arabic phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, translation, and pragmatics, including psycholinguistics (for instance, the role of mother tongue in Arabic acquisition) and sociolinguistics.
