About the Journal

Loquen: English Studies Journal is a double-blind peer-reviewed scholarly journal currently accredited at SINTA 3 by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. The journal serves as an academic platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners in the fields of English language teaching and learning, applied linguistics, and educational development for EFL (English as a Foreign Language) to publish and disseminate their original Research and scholarly studies.

Published biannually (in June and December), Loquen aims to advance knowledge-building and problem-solving in English studies and language education. It also seeks to promote open access to high-quality scientific works for both academic and general audiences.

Since its establishment in 2017, Loquen has been published online by the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FTK), Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten, Indonesia. The journal collaborates with ELITE: Association Indonesia to strengthen professional and academic networks in English language education.

Loquen: English Studies Journal publishes empirical Research articles, conceptual papers, and theoretical studies related to (but not limited to) the following fields:

  • Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)
  • English Applied Linguistics
  • English Language Teaching and Learning (ELT)
  • English Language Teacher Education and Training
  • English and Second Language Acquisition (SLA)
