Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis buku ajar kelas V kurikulum 2013 revisi 2017, sehingga dapat mengantarkan siswa untuk terlatih berfikir kritis, analitis, komunikatif dan memiliki wawasan yang mampu membentuk siswa menjadi pribadi yang berkarakter. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil analisis yang didapatkan oleh penulis menyatakan bahwa karakteristik peserta didik ada pada tahap operasional konkret dan untuk pembelajaran HOTS masih cukup rendah serta masih mengarah kepada pembelajaran LOTS. Analisis HOTS menunjukkan data critical thinking94%, creative thinking 4%, dan problem solving 2%. Data hasil analisis menghasilkan inovasi baru untuk perbaikan bahan ajar materi pokok IPS MI/SD kelas V berbasis kepada integrasi-interkoneksi yang relevan dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di era revolusi industri 4.0.
