This study employs a library research approach, utilizing primary literature and documents regarding Al-Attas’s concept of ta’dib and lifelong learning from an Islamic perspective, supported by relevant secondary sources. The findings indicate that Al-Attas’s ta’dib emphasizes the cultivation of adab (right action and refined character) to produce virtuous and civilized human beings. Furthermore, lifelong learning in Islam is framed as a form of worship (ibadah) and a mandatory obligation for all believers from the cradle to the grave, characterized by continuity, consistency, and the absence of age or time constraints. The integration of ta’dib and lifelong learning serves as a catalyst for sustainable human development. By fostering individuals who are intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually competent, this integrated framework nurtures harmonious relationships with God, fellow human beings, other creatures, and the environment. Ultimately, lifelong learning cultivates adaptive, creative, and responsible individuals who ensure the continuous advancement of knowledge and the preservation of human civilization.
