Abstrak

LGBT is prohibited behavior in Islam because it is a deviant sexual orientation. LGBT continues to develop and spread throughout the world, even to Indonesia, which is predominantly Muslim, one way is through social media. Through this phenomenon, can Muslim teenagers recognize content that spreads LGBT ideology? This study aims to investigate how Muslim teenagers can recognize LGBT characteristics and behavior through the social media content they access. This study has used Husserl's phenomenological approach with semi-structured interviews as a data collection technique. The informants in this study were teenagers aged between 13-18 years old, totaling 15 people with the characteristics active access and having had an accountsocial media for more than 1 year. Data were analyzed using the Colaizi model. Muslim teenagers in this study recognized LGBT characteristics and behavior on social media, namely by identifying 1) Physical appearances 2) Attitude of communication 3) Propaganda attributes 4) Gestures 5) belief and cultural upbringing when accessing content on social media. The results of the study show that religious values can contribute to Muslim teenagers' knowledge about the prohibition of deviant behavior as well as providing self-control so that they do not fall into LGBT propaganda on social media. It is hoped that the results of this study will provide new insights and knowledge in developing counseling for LGBT prevention in educational institutions, as well as increasing parental awareness in monitoring healthy digital literacy for Muslim teenagers.
