Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media kartun terhadap kemampuan menulis cerita anak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen (quasi experiment). Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI yang berjumlah 72 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Data yang diperoleh dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik yaitu uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil kemampuan menulis kelompok eksperimen yaitu rata-rata (M) sebesar 80,69. Hasil kemampuan menulis pada kelompok kontrol rata-rata (M) sebesar 74,86. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang diperoleh dengan pengujian menggunakan uji-t, jenis Independent Sampel t-test, data yang diperoleh thitung > ttabel, menunjukkan thitung = 4,838 dan ttabel = 1,688. Hal ini berarti bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara nilai kemampuan menulis cerita anak dengan menggunakan media kartun dengan yang tidak menggunakan media kartun. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media kartun berpengaruh dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita anak di kelas VI MIN 1 Kota Cilegon.
