Abstract

This research is motivated by forms of indiscipline such as arriving late, leaving the classroom during the learning process, not obeying classroom rules and so on in obeying the rules at school. This is due to the low awareness of students in obeying the rules that have been implemented at school. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Optimizing Student Discipline at ArRidha Al-Salaam Islamic Green School Depok, West Java. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach through interviews with Islamic Religious Education teachers and 5th-grade students, documentation about student discipline and observation during Islamic Religious Education learning about student discipline. The research results show that the performance of Islamic Education teachers can be seen by the success of the program as the results achieved by Islamic Education teachers in optimizing student discipline can be seen from several indicators, namely attitudes and morals obtained from students' understanding of the moral guidance program, students' daily behaviour when at school, discipline in performing mandatory and sunnah prayers and students' manners to teachers and parents.
