Abstract

This study aims to test whether the use of counting funnel media is effective in developing students' problem-solving abilities in multiplication material in grade III of elementary school. The research method used is an experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was grade III elementary school students in Serang Regency with accreditation B. The sample of this study was grade III students of MI Roudhotul Ikhwan Serang Regency which was determined by a purposive technique consisting of two classes, where one class became an experimental group that used Counting Funnel media and one class as a control group that did not use the media. The instruments used were pretest and posttest. Based on the results of the t-test, the sig value was obtained, (2-Tailed) has a value of 0.002, namely a value of 0.002 <0.05 so that it can be said that Ho is rejected or in other words there is a significant difference in the problem-solving abilities of students in the experimental class and the control class where the problem-solving abilities of the experimental class are better than the problem-solving abilities of students in the control class. So, it can be interpreted that the use of media has an influence on students' problem-solving abilities
