Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari beberapa permasalahan pada pembelajaran IPS, diantaranya adalah siswa cenderung pasif saat pembelajaran berlangsung, kemampuan siswa dalam menghafal relatif rendah, perhatian siswa terhadap materi masih kurang. Pada pencapaian kompetensi terpadu memiliki perumusan di antaranya menuntut pendekatan pembelajaran terpadu, yaitu mempelajari semua mata pelajaran secara terpadu melalui tema-tema kehidupan yang dijumpai peserta didik sehari-hari. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) tingkat penerapan metode scramble pada mata pelajaran IPS adalah baik 2) tingkat hasil belajar kelas kontrol sebelum pembelajaran 58,54 dan sesudah pembelajaran 63,333) tingkat hasil belajar kelas eksperimen sebelum pembelajaran 63,80 dan sesudah pembelajaran 75,43 4) terdapat pengaruh metode scramble terhadap hasil belajar. Oleh karena itu dapat dinyatakan bahwa penerapan metode scramble mampu mewujudkan kondisi belajar yang dinamis, kreatif dan mandiri.
