Abstract

The purpose of this study is 1) to analyze the factors that are at the root of the problem in increasing quality of madrasa graduates, and 2) to find out strategies in improving the quality of graduates at MA Muhammadiyah 1 Plus Malang. The method used in this study is qualitative. This research was conducted at MA Muhammadiyah 1 Plus Malang. This research in collecting data using interview techniques, documentation studies and observations. The results of this study are 1) factors that cause the low quality of madrasah graduates, namely material, tools (facilities and infrastructure), learning methods, and man (human resources); and 2) The strategies formulated to improve the quality of graduates at the MA Muhammadiyah 1 Plus Malang are, providing training in making teaching materials and learning media, setting the time for appropriate learning and teaching activities, utilizing library space for learning, procuring and repairing damaged teaching aids, maximamizing madrasah’s  wifi usage, provision of teacher training to develop varied learning methods and according to student needs, provision of training on leisure hours guided by teachers who have mastered information technology, and provision of teacher training for the development of syllabi.
