Desain Pengembangan Laboratorium Terintegrasi dan Berkelanjutan Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan desain pengembangan laboratorium yang terintegrasi dan berkelanjutan pada Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN) guna mendukung pelaksanaan tridharma perguruan tinggi secara optimal. Laboratorium diposisikan sebagai sarana strategis pembelajaran, penguatan riset, dan internalisasi nilai-nilai keislaman serta etika akademik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development/R&D) yang dipadukan dengan studi kasus pada beberapa PTKIN. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pimpinan institusi, kepala laboratorium, dosen, dan tenaga laboran, observasi terhadap kondisi fisik dan tata kelola laboratorium, serta analisis dokumen kebijakan institusi dan standar nasional pendidikan tinggi. Data dianalisis secara tematik melalui proses reduksi, kategorisasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan keabsahan data dijamin melalui triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan laboratorium PTKIN masih menghadapi kendala pada aspek perencanaan strategis, tata kelola dan kepemimpinan laboratorium, keterbatasan sarana prasarana, serta belum optimalnya integrasi laboratorium dengan kegiatan pembelajaran dan penelitian. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penelitian ini menghasilkan desain pengembangan laboratorium yang mencakup perencanaan berbasis visi institusi, penguatan manajemen dan kepemimpinan laboratorium, peningkatan kompetensi sumber daya manusia, pengelolaan sarana prasarana berorientasi mutu, serta penerapan sistem penjaminan mutu internal yang selaras dengan nilai-nilai keislaman. Desain ini menegaskan peran laboratorium sebagai pusat pengembangan budaya riset, inovasi, dan pembentukan karakter ilmiah mahasiswa PTKIN. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual dan praktis bagi penguatan mutu pengelolaan laboratorium pendidikan tinggi keagamaan Islam secara berkelanjutan.
