Elective Grading as a Transformative Assessment Model in Islamic Higher Education: A Mixed-Methods Study on Motivation, Performance, and Stress

Penelitian ini menganalisis penerapan Elective Grading (EG) sebagai model penilaian alternatif di perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia. EG memungkinkan mahasiswa menentukan bobot komponen penilaian sesuai tujuan pembelajaran dan perkembangan individu mereka. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed-methods dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen yang melibatkan 60 mahasiswa semester empat, dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen (EG) dan kelompok kontrol (konvensional). Hasil uji t menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada hasil belajar kelompok EG (12,5%) disertai penurunan tingkat stres akademik (18,7%). Temuan kualitatif menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi, persepsi keadilan, dan kemampuan mengelola stres. Integrasi EG dengan nilai-nilai Islam seperti ikhtiyar, tazkiyatun nafs, dan rahmatan lil ‘alamin menjadi kebaruan penelitian ini, yang menawarkan model evaluasi yang lebih humanis dan kontekstual untuk pendidikan tinggi Islam.
