Abstrak

Methods are important things that teachers must master and apply in the learning process. This also applies to the learning of participants who have special needs. This research was conducted to find out the extent of the learning methods applied by Islamic Religious Education teachers for children with special needs. This research was conducted at SLB Negeri 01 Jakarta and there are many types of children with disabilities at the school, one of which is Tunagrahita children. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method (case study) because the data presented is in the form of descriptive narratives and does not use statistical and quantification procedures. The primary data sources of this research are the Principal, Vice Principal for Curriculum, Islamic Religious Education Teacher, and the Tunagrahita children themselves. As for the secondary data, researchers used books and journals related to curriculum, curriculum implementation in schools and children with special needs. Data collection techniques In this study the authors used interviews, observation and documentation methods. In the data analysis technique, the author uses data reduction techniques, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the research findings show that the methods used are lectures and practices and must be adjusted to the conditions of the students. As for assessing the effectiveness of the method, it is done individually and must first see the condition of each student. Another obstacle in the use of methods for learning PAI in the classroom is the obstacles that exist in each ABK. In addition to the teacher, the students also feel difficulties such as the explanation too fast and the difficulty of remembering the readings and movements for practice there is an evaluation of attitude and behaviour, besides that there is also an oral and written evaluation and an assessment and there is also a practical exam.
