Pembelajaran IPA sebagai bagian integral dari pendidikan mempunyai peranan penting dalam mendidik dan membina peserta didik yang mampu berpikir kritis, berlogika, kreatif, berinovasi dan mampu bersaing secara global. Penerapan media pembelajaran adalah sebuah langkah bagi guru dalam mempermudah siswa dalam memahami materi yang diberikan, serta menumbuhkan minat dan motivasi belajar. Media pembelajaran yang clasic dan konvensional dapat dibuat lebih menarik dengan menganimasikan materi pelajaran untuk memvisualisasikan teori dan konsep IPA yang abstrak. Hal ini dapat dilakukan pendidik dengan mengolah program PowerPoint. Tujuan Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah untuk melihat dan mengetahui efektivitas PowerPoint dengan menggunakan animasi untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPA materi gaya pada murid Kelas IV SD. media PowerPoint berbasis animasi pada materi gaya dari uji validitas isi memperoleh hasil 94,5 %, validitas konstruk sebesar 90,9%, dan hasil uji coba siswa sebesar 92,25% dengan kriteria sangat baik dan sangat layak. Media PowerPoint berbasis animasi sangat layak digunakan sebagai media dalam membantu meningkatkan prestasi siswa, khususnya pada pelajaran IPA materi Gaya untuk Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar
