Penguatan budaya lokal dalam Kurikulum Merdeka sejalan dengan Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) yang harus diimplementasikan. Melalui pemilihan dimensi berkebhinekaan global dengan tema kearifan lokal, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Maulana Maghribi Bantul Yogyakarta mengimplementasikan P5. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dengan pengumpulan data secara detail. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini melakukan 4 bentuk analisis: pengumpulan kategori, interpretasi langsung, membentuk pola, dan pengembangan generalisasi naturalistis. Implementasi P5 di sekolah ini terdiri atas 3 tahap yaitu perencanaan proyek, implementasi proyek, serta evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Bentuk penguatan budaya lokal yang dilakukan di sekolah ini antara lain: Pertama, permainan tradisional di mana peserta didik melakukan identifikasi beberapa permainan tradisional beserta cara dan aturan permainan. Melalui permainan tradisional, peserta didik dapat terbentuk karakter positif serta budaya lokal yang terus diwariskan dan dikembangkan. Kedua, penggunaan bahasa Jawa pada hari Sabtu di lingkungan MI Maulana Maghribi yang bertepatan dengan pelaksanaan P5. Bahasa Jawa krama dapat membentuk profil Pancasila (karakter) peserta didik berupa kemampuan komunikasi dengan memperhatikan lawan bicara (kesopanan). Di samping itu, penguatan budaya lokal dilakukan dengan mengajarkan sastra Jawa berupa cerita rakyat
