IMPLEMENTASI METODE DISCOVERY LEARNING DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA PADA MATERI ENERGI

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil belajar siswa yang kurang memuaskan di SDN 1 Sumur Bandung kelas IV dalam pembelajaran IPA pada materi energi. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil tes siswa yang belum mendapatkan hasil belajar yang kurang baik karena banyak siswa yang tidak mencapai nilai KKM IPA yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1). Aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan metode belajar discovery learning lebih aktif dan efektif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada tabel aktivitas siswa yang mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I yaitu 65% atau masuk katagori baik dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II yaitu 85% atau ke katagori sangat baik. 2). Hasil belajar siswa dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran IPA pada materi energi, dengan menggunakan metode discovery learning setiap siklusnya mengalami peningkatan yaitu dari nilai rata-rata pada pra siklus sebesar 61,11 dengan persentase ketuntasan 48,14%. Siklus I mencapai nilai rata-rata kelas 67,40 dengan ketuntasan belajar 59,25%. Pada siklus II mencapai ketuntasan belajar 88,88% dan nilai rata-rata kelas 84,44.
